Cape Race is a deep-sea trawler converted to an expedition/research yacht reminiscent of the bygone era of tramp steamers. As she was designed originally to fish year round in the toughest seas of the world, she has the integral strength to travel pole to pole in safety and comfort. With a fuel range of oaver 7000 miles, Cape Race can cross the Atlantic twice without fueling, and her ice-strengthened hull navigates the Arctic waters.The ship charters to 12 guests on tailored voyages in remote regions, scientific expeditions and film projects.

She has fine and well seasoned crew. The vessel is stocked with auxiliary equipment and experience to support variety of oceanographic research, as well as expedition voyages. Accommodations aboard are spacious and handsome. There are four staterooms, with queen size beds, private head and shower, one large stateroom with two single and two double beds, two single cabins, a mahogany paneled saloon equipped with ship’s wood-stove and a piano, a mess room as well as extensive crew quarters in the aft of the vessel.

Cape Race has been redesigned with the idea of having many voluminous work and leisure outside spaces - the side decks are reminiscent of an cruise steamer, there is an aft dining deck under the mizzen mast and the fore deck is perfect for photo and film opportunities. She has the impressive capability of long-range endeavors in any ocean of the world for extended periods.
